Srinagar : Wednesday, 10 January 2018 (KNO) : In a swift and timely humanitarian act, the troops of Ladakh Scouts evacuated four occupants of an ill- fated Honda City Car bearing registration number HR 51 AL 6312 which met with an accident at Gupuk (Leh) on 09 Jan 18 while it was on its way from Nimu to Leh. The car apparently failed to negotiate a sharp turn, went off the highway and toppled approx 25 mtrs down a steep slope. Four soldiers of Ladakh Scouts Regiment located in the vicinity, rushed to the accident site and immediately evacuated the victims to SNM hospital, Leh assisted by a few local residents thus helping in saving precious human lives.
